I’ve been working intensively with the Ortur Laser Cutter R2 over the past few weeks and would like to share my experience. To begin with: overall, I am very satisfied with the machine and would definitely recommend it. What I liked the most: •Enclosed Design & Extraction System: The R2 keeps the smoke contained extremely well, and together with the external exhaust system, almost nothing escapes into the apartment — a huge plus, especially for my health. •Easy Operation & Clear Documentation: •Compact Size: For my personal projects, the working area could be 10–20 cm larger, but even as it is, I can work very comfortably with it.

I had a good experience using the machine. It’s very easy to operate. The laser modules are easy to change The ORTUR App is very intuitive and easy to use. I was surprised that it could cut PNG images. Not as precisely as it would cut an SVG file but still very interesting and useful for quick projects. I was able to use the machine with LightBurn. I haven’t showed it on the videos because not everyone uses the program. And the ORTUR App satisfies all the needs to cut and engrave. And it’s free! So far I’m very pleased with the experience and I hope it keeps performing that way for a long time! :D

Throughout our work at SUAVE, we have used the Ortur laser cutter to fabricate components such as wing ribs, fuselage formers and electronics trays for our aircraft. The setup was relatively simple and took less than an hour, allowing us to begin cutting the same day. The cutter can handle all our materials, spanning from 0.8mm plywood to 5mm MDF, leaving minimal burning and consistent repeatability, ideal for producing accurate and ready-to-assemble parts. It has become an essential component for our manufacturing processes, streamlining both design and prototyping of our aircraft.
